Summary
Sigurd Evensmo: Fifteen days and nights with Gordon
The novel by this contemporary Norwegian author is an unusual love story with elements of a political thriller, set in the socialist realist environment of Kamrov, a place somewhere in Eastern Europe. The main characters are David Haid, a foreigner with a partisan past, employed in engineering work related to post-war reconstruction, and Gordona Vajdan, a student, whose parents died in the war, and who supports herself by singing in a night club... Sigurd Evensmo is considered one of the founders of the science-fiction genre in Norwegian literature, and as a journalist he witnessed many historical and political upheavals in Europe, an oppositionist, a man with an interesting and complex personality who is considered by many to be one of of the most interesting personalities of Norwegian public life at that time.
