Summary
Barbara Davis: The Echo of Old Books
Traces of the past write unexpected pages of the future.
Ashlyn Greer is passionate about reading books, but this passion goes beyond her love for the intoxicating smell of old paper, the special color of ink, the softness of the leather binding. By touch, she feels the "echoes" of previous owners, like an emotional imprint that only she can interpret. When Ashlyn discovers two beautifully connected copies of the books, which have apparently never been published, her extraordinary gift turns into an obsession to learn everything about past events.
Not only does she feel traces of guilt, pain and sorrow under her fingers, but the authors themselves, Hammy and Bell, write conflicting opinions about their tragic romance on the yellowed pages. In order for Ashlyn to discover the real truth about their love story, she will have to face her own fears from an unfinished chapter of her past.
