Summary
Staša Aras: 12 in front of the wall
Behind the freshly painted walls, I see the residue and pitch of age-old crap that these walls received like lice stuck to the ears of the walls, because we learned that walls have ears, and earplugs are stuck to those ears, and then cotton wool is hysterically stuffed into them. The woman was talking incoherently in front of me yesterday, waving her thin neck that resembled the neck of some particularly exotic chicken, to the left and right, complaining to me, look after me, who contritely came to offer my possible services, so she didn't know how to even include it in the program, of course formally there is room for that, in fact there is room for that, because that is exactly what their institution wants. The institution wants, we have come to that. The institution wants to open its doors to everyone, because for God's sake, they don't exist for their own sake, they exist to be at the service of the citizens, so that the citizens live in this space in the true sense of the word. Do you understand? laughed the lady with the exotic door, and her teeth shone blue. Indeed, the lady whitened her teeth to a blue color and now she leads the institution to real life with a neon smile. The new collection of stories by Staša Aras collected in book 12 in front of the wall rests on atmosphere, mostly on the Mediterranean decor and the authenticity of the characters who are caught in the web of circumstances and face the facts of what happened to them in life, but what they wanted for themselves is also written into the stories. By reading these twelve stories, we can smell strong smells, touch the ground on which the characters walk, taste the dishes they serve - it is easy to completely surrender to the synesthesia of the taste, touch and smell of this text.
