Summary
Staša Aras: Horror vacui
Everything has disappeared between her and Petar, all that is left for her is to have an abortion - she won't even tell him - and to go, without work, without money, to her horror vacui. Furthermore, we will follow her life almost on a daily basis, mostly internal monologues, during the European football championship and the government crisis, her fine reflections on life, monasteries, on food (she stops eating meat for a while), on herbs and on the sea, on smells and colors, on all sensations, she goes to the spaces of the past, to her birth house, she wakes up, she is wanted. Staša Aras's novel is refreshingly atypical despite the initial anxiety it opens, but in which sensitivity and life sparkle, in the abyss of which beauty, peace, and finally identity opens up.
