Summary
Slobodan Tišma: Astal tiš, riba friš: life of the poet: political nigredo
The first part of the trilogy: Astal tiš, riba friš. The poet's life is subtitled: Political nigredo. The book is written in the form of self-narration. Like a kind of confession, Slobodan Tišma writes a portrait of the artist in his youth, enriched with thoughts about the world, art and life in the form of short essays. The author additionally strengthens the already recognizable position of the first-person narrator as a "weak subject" by characterizing him as a political nigredo, that is, as a member of the political community at the lowest level of social relevance. From a technical point of view, however, he needs this position for the sake of the balance of the text, so that he can occasionally be merciless towards the other protagonists of the book.
