I nako dolazi kometa

Summary
Peter Henisch: And here comes the comet
Three vagabonds meet on the road. In Nestroy, they are called Tutkalo, Postola and Konac, and here they are Chek, Čašica and Penkala. One former bank clerk, one failed burglar and professional alcoholic, one eternal student and frustrated writer. And, of course, the comet also plays a role, which - according to Postola, i.e. Čašica - inevitably collides with the Earth. The action takes place in Ulm, Paris and Vienna, but also - which is no less important - in the heads of the protagonists. Each of them has their own special passion. Chek loves his Pepi, Penkala acts as a substitute for Don Juan, and Čašica drinks and waits for the comet. Tutkalo, Postola and Konac were traveling masters; their world was not entirely healthy, but it was innocent. Chek, Čašica and Penkala are fugitives; everyone escaped from a reality that was broken in their own way. Despite all the irony and enjoyment of wordplay inspired by a great role model, Henisch's text also carries a bitter seriousness. It is precisely the adaptation to civil correctness, which leads to a happy ending in Nestroy, that paves the way for disaster here.
