Summary
Josip Kosor: Radnici / Cupalo / Short stories outside the collections
Works 3.
The third volume in these Works contains the novel Radnici, which is Kosor's second novel (after Rasap, Zagreb 1905) and has never been published in a separate book. Workers were written in the spring of 1906 in Munich, and in the fall of the same year the novel was published in Obzor in 43 installments. Furthermore, the novel Cupalo was created immediately after Radnik (and its original title was Preporađanje) and was published throughout 1907 in Savremenik, and was not reprinted after that. The short stories outside the collections are a selection from Kosor's short prose published in various newspapers and magazines between 1903 and 1916. It is known, namely, that Kosor wrote a total of seventy short stories, of which approximately half were printed in four separate collections (Vol. 1 in these Works), and the other half remained scattered throughout periodicals and were never reprinted before these works by the author.
