The Children of Húrin (2007) is the completion of the story by J. R. R. Tolkien started 1918 Tolkien did not finish the story before his death. Christopher Tolkien, his son, completed the story and prepared it for publication as a separate book.

This book was published 17. April 2007 in Great Britain and United States of America. The illustrations on the title page and throughout the book were made by Alan Lee, who is also the illustrator of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.

The backbone of the story is the character of the hero The First age, Húrin, a member of the human race, who was cursed by Morgoth Lord of Darkness, and the consequences of that curse on Húrin's children Túrina Turambara and Niënor Níniel.
