Zlatko Crnković: The Book of Dreams Mr. Freud would surely have shrugged his shoulders in confusion if he had by any chance stumbled upon the dense texture of the dream repertoire of the proverbially decent Mr. Crnković. Because the dreamy worlds of that translator and editor pioneer of the domestic literary scene are walked by all kinds of feathered ladies (Severina, Clinton, Kušan, Tuđman, Torbarina, Canjuga, Sušak, Aralica...), sometimes in production no more and no less than Walt Disney himself. If it were not a full-blooded literary tissue, we might think that it is a synopsis for some ridiculous cartoon. This 'autobiographical prose' can apparently be read as a concept book, if not a completely new genre in Croatian literature...
