An ancient prophecy says that if the thirteen skulls are not reunited, the world will end on December 21, 2012. A 16th-century scientist, Cedric Owen, the last Keeper of one of the skulls, died to keep its secret. Almost five centuries later, the newly married couple Stella Cody and Kit O'Connor will decipher Owen's code, face the prophecy and begin the search for the hidden skull, becoming embroiled in a battle between the guardians of the skulls and those determined to destroy them and bring the world to an end.
