Summary
Dejan Stojiljković: Seraphim - Chronicles of Nemanja Lukić
From the universe of Konstantino's Crossroads.
Nemanja Lukić first appeared in the novel Konstantino's Crossroads and since then this enigmatic character has not stopped intriguing and tickling the imagination of readers. Both human and immortal, witness and creator of history at the same time, he will live through the entire century in which old lady Europe experienced its greatest rise and deepest fall. He will watch it indifferently with his vampiric eyes while a long, French cigarette burns between his lips.
In the book Serafim, we follow Nemanja Lukić from the moment he accepted a new identity in interwar Belgrade. Readers will find out how Nemanja met Mustafa Golubić for the first time and what exactly he charged our Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić with. His involvement in the British intelligence service will take him all the way to Iceland, where he will face the secrets of time and space, until he appears again in Serbia, during the smallpox epidemic. He will witness the horrors brought by the fruits of the tree that grows in Hell.
In the end, only one question remains: what is Nemanja Lukić doing in the 21st century?
