The ball is lost forever, but on the rocks below the cliff he finds the curled body of a dying man. The man opens his eyes and with his last atom of strength, dying, utters: "Why didn't they ask Evans"? Intrigued by his words, Bobby invites his friend Frankie to try together to discover the truth about the man's death and the identity of the mysterious Evans. The investigation leads them into a series of difficulties and life-threatening situations.
