Summary
Agatha Christie: Sleeping Murder
Giles and Gwenda Reed have recently arrived from New Zealand and are looking for a suitable house in England. Hillside, a Victorian mansion overlooking Dillmouth, seems an ideal choice. But not long after they move in, strange things begin to happen. Gwenda is constantly haunted by the feeling that she has been there before. Giles is in London visiting his distant cousin Raymond West. Raymond, on the other hand, is visiting his favorite aunt, Jane Marple. They all go to the theater together, in the middle of which Gwenda starts screaming and runs headlong outside. Later that evening, he tells Miss Marple about his vision of him standing on the Hillside staircase looking at the corpse of young Helen. Giles and Gwenda return to Devon determined to uncover the secret of Hillside. Miss Marple, afraid of the consequences, travels with them.
