Borna Baradić: Croatian-Catalan conversation manual
Catalan is the 14th most spoken language in the European Union and the largest European minority language. It has more than 9 million active and passive speakers. It is autochthonous and one of the two official languages of Catalonia, Valencia and the Balearic Islands. It is less known that it is also the only official language of the mountainous country of Andorra. A cultural term that encompasses all the territory where Catalan is spoken is the Catalan lands (Paisos Catalans). This conversation manual is the first such manual dedicated to the Catalan language. In it you will find many words and expressions from different areas of everyday life, such as: sightseeing, staying in a hotel, shopping, going to a restaurant, going out, etc. In addition, there are culturally specific terms that will bring you closer to Catalan culture, and a pronunciation guide.
