George Orwell: Burmese Days
Eric Arthur Blair, better known under the pseudonym George Orwell, was an English writer and journalist. After finishing his studies at Eton, with no hope of getting a university scholarship and too little money, Eric went to school in 1922. joined the Royal Indian Police in Burma. He resigned and returned to England in 1928, hating imperialism. Proof of this is his first novel Burmanski dani, published in 1934, where he described his Asian experiences.
