After a whole series of valuable editions from Croatian literary history, the new Ex libris project to republish, in several volumes, Štambak's most important works that are not sufficiently represented in Croatian literature, and not necessarily critically researched, is to be commended. It started in the year when 2012 marked the hundredth anniversary of the author's birth. Finally, in addition to this, this project is a real opportunity to print Štambak's works according to the original manuscripts, that is, without the censorship to which they were subjected and without printing errors, of which there were not a few. And when it comes to travel novels, it should be noted that Štambak was a reliable guide not only to Parisian bohemia and Parisian cultural circles until 1970, but also to particularly useful "wanderings" throughout Italy and Greece.
