Summary
Tullio Vorano: They died in vain - 718 miners died in the mines of Labinština
It is estimated that during the continuous operation of the mines in Labinština, from 1785 to 1999, a total of about 40,000,000 tons of coal was produced with at least 718 miners killed.
A huge price was paid for the production achieved because the value of human life is immeasurable. For every miner, the right to work should not mean the right to die!
Regardless of the way they died, that is, whatever the cause of their death was: personal error, force majeure or another (work environment) - we come to the sad and devastating conclusion that they all died in vain, for nothing, unnecessarily, without purpose and without justification.
