Ships of the Yugoslav Navy (JRM) from the period from 1945 to 1991, despite their frequent presence in the media, were not sufficiently publicly known or systematically described, because they belonged to the "confidential" or "military secret" categories.
Unlike the ships of the former Royal Navy, accurate data on JRM ships was available in a number of internal publications of the FNRJ and SRFJ armed forces, but mostly to military personnel and experts.
Only after the breakup of Yugoslavia was it possible to obtain accurate descriptions of most of the ships, boats and other vessels of the former JRM, so that an overview book could be written about them and presented to an interested readership. This is the first book in which everything is about them, with a rich selection of photographs.
