Summary
Robert Jordan: The Dagger of Dreams
The beauty of the language, the distinctive style of the writer and the astonishing scale of the world in which the story takes place, as well as its elaboration to the smallest detail, are the features that distinguish this series. However, such loyalty among the multi-million readership was stimulated by the excellent characterization of the characters and the exceptional ability of the writer to completely immerse the reader in the protagonists. The wheel of time turns, and Ages come and go, leaving behind memories that become legends. Legends fade into myths, and myths are long forgotten when the Age that spawned them reappears. In the Third Age, the Age of Prophecy, the World and Time hang in the balance. All that was, all that will be, and all that is can still fall under the Shadow. There is a world of Light and Shadow, in which good and evil wage an eternal war. It is the world of The Wheel of Time, the greatest epic fantasy epic ever written. As the fabric of reality unravels, all signs point to Tarmon Gai'don on the brink. Rand al'Thor must prepare to face the Dark One. But before that, he must reach a truce with the Seanshan armies, as the constant fighting with them wears him down and weakens his strength. Perrin's hard-won truce with the Seanshan shows that two armies can do a lot if they join forces, and when the Last Battle finally begins, it will be decisive. Matt's meeting with the Nine Moon Daughter and the time he spends with her could make it easier for Rand to quell the unrest on multiple fronts. If only there weren't the Lost, servants of the Dark One, roaming the world freely, plotting and sowing chaos wherever they appear... Meanwhile, the world descends into chaos as old powers and kingdoms fall. In Caemlin, Elaine fights to secure the Lion Throne and prevent civil war, while Egwene, as the true Amyrlin, leads the fight to reunify the White Tower. The winds of time are turning into a storm, and Rand and his companions are at the center of it. They must overcome the temptations of fate and evil fortune or the Dark One will win and the world will be lost forever.
